Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Argead Venture ("Argead", "we", "us"), based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, handles personal information collected through argeadventure.ai and argeadventure.com, including the corpus interface at /argead_demo_v2 (the "Site"). We keep collection minimal by design.
1 · What we collect
Technical and log data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard connection data (IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps) to serve the Site, provide security, and produce aggregate analytics. We see this in aggregate or in security logs; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Access credentials. Where parts of the Site are gated by Cloudflare Access, you provide an email address to receive a one-time login code. We can see which email addresses accessed gated areas and when.
Corpus interface inputs. Questions you submit to the corpus or general chat, together with limited recent conversation history, are transmitted to our language-model provider (xAI) to generate a response. Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in your questions.
Correspondence. If you email orbit@argeadventure.ai, we receive your address and message.
We do not run advertising trackers, sell personal information, or use third-party marketing cookies. The Site does not set cookies of its own; Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security and authenticated access.
2 · How we use it
We use the information above to operate and secure the Site, respond to inquiries, understand aggregate interest in our work, manage authenticated access, and improve the corpus interface. Where Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and the BC Personal Information Protection Act) applies, our legal basis is consent and our legitimate operational purposes; where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site) and consent (gated access, correspondence).
3 · Service providers
We share information only with service providers necessary to run the Site: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security, authentication, analytics) and xAI (language-model processing of interface inputs). These providers process data in their own infrastructure, which may be located outside Canada, including in the United States. Their handling is governed by their respective privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law.
4 · Retention
Security and access logs are retained for the periods set by Cloudflare's service configuration. Interface questions are processed to generate responses; we do not maintain a database of chat transcripts on our own systems. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed for the purpose of the exchange.
5 · Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the BC OIPC). To exercise any of these, contact orbit@argeadventure.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
6 · Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Access to gated areas requires emailed one-time codes. API credentials are stored as encrypted secrets. No system is perfectly secure; transmit information at your own discretion.
7 · Children
The Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
8 · Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
